What question(s) or comment(s) do you have about what the Bible teaches us about "FORGIVENESS?" Why do you believe that even Christians, who are FORGIVEN by God have such a tough challenge FORGIVING those who hurt, harm, betray, and offend?
Mark 11:25 (NIV), "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Ephesians 4:31-32 (NIV), "31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Colossians 3:13 (NIV), "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
So, how are you doing with FORGIVING others?
Let's talk!!!

  1. Good words from God's word Pastor. My son and I were just talking about forgiveness that he has to address in school. In fact his 5th grade class has been studying Ephesians 4:31-32 and are committing it to memory.

Thank God for the power to forgive, move on and let go.

    Peace and blessings.

  2. Within the past three years while I was unemployed I had a lot of quiet time with God. It was a great time of healing because I did not have the distraction of work to avoid dealing with feelings of hurt, anger betrayal, disappointment. I prayerfully searched my heart and sometimes had to ask "how do I let this go?" But God is merciful and patient. After my first knee replacement I had excessive scar tissue. I asked what I was supposed to learn through this event. I learned sometimes forgiveness is like breaking through thick scar tissue. It takes work, sometimes tears but if you don't give up breakthrough occurs! I praise God I am getting better at letting go and trusting Him. I don't have to pay anyone back, hold a grudge, hold on to my pain, I can release it to God, allow Him to heal and move forward.

  3. A Coworker asked me a question. How many times am I to forgive a person who consistently lies on her and she does devious things to hurt her? They're both seasoned Christian's and it's hard to watch this person who is a pastor lie and hurt other employees saved and unsaved. We both understand walking in love and forgiveness but she says when is enough enough?
